Sport and karate

We cooperate with the “Žandarmerija” (Military police) Karate Club, one of the most successful karate clubs in Serbia.

One of the main goals of our kindergarten is including children in sports activities and creating the habit of regular physical exercise, which affects the development of their psychological as well as motor skills. In addition to daily walks and calisthenics, children have the opportunity to practice sports and karate with us.

Through play and fun exercises, children get to learn in an interesting way basic karate techniques and forms of movement, such as striking with the arms and legs, blocks, and stances, directly contributing to their proper and healthy development. In this way, children of pre-school age can develop speed, coordination, precision, balance, flexibility, strength, and correct posture, but also determination, ambition, concentration and an athletic spirit. In addition to the basic techniques of this ancient martial art, karate teaches children about discipline, self-control, setting and achieving goals, flexibility and recognition in one’s community, perseverance, as well as about developing and increasing their self-confidence.

Training sessions are held in our kindergarten by members of the national karate team and by students of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, with extensive experience in working with children of pre-school and elementary-school age.

Sports and karate classes with instructors from the “Žandarmerija” (Military police) Karate Club are held in our kindergarten twice a week.
